异盲蛇科（学名：Xenotyphlopidae）是蛇亚目下的一个科，仅有1属1种：异盲蛇属（学名：Xenotyphlops）下的格氏异盲蛇（学名：X. grandidieri），它们是马达加斯加的特有种。 ^[2]目前未有任何亚种被确认。 ^[4]

词源

格氏异盲蛇是马达加斯加的特有种，仅分布在其北部的Baie de Sakalava。它们被发现于靠近海岸的森林或灌木林的沙丘中，其栖息地可能位于潮湿的低地森林中。^[1]

异盲蛇曾仅有一个模式标本，且有近100年未被再次发现。直至2007年，一种新的异盲蛇品种莫氏异盲蛇（学名：X. mocquardi）被发现，但于2013年的研究证实莫氏异盲蛇实则是格氏异盲蛇的同种异名。这一结果使得格氏异盲蛇成为了异盲蛇科的单型种。 ^[5]
