多人西洋棋（Multi-player chess），為棋史常見的西洋棋變體，是參與人數改為多人玩家。[1]

印度四角棋，古印度象棋的變體，是一種四角形四人西洋棋。 [13] 。夸特羅象棋（英語：Quatrochess）是現代之四角形四人象棋。

十字形西洋棋的棋盤中心為正方形，由32個深色和32個淺色共64個方格交替排列組成。每邊8個方格。 每條邊增加8*n個矩形區域。十字形西洋棋棋盤有128個（8*2），或160個（8*4），或192個（8*4）方。十字形西洋棋有160個方是比較常見。 [13] 堡壘象棋，是一種十字形西洋棋之變體。
