歷史

南北內戰後，這首歌在聯邦軍退伍軍人中廣受歡迎。這首歌以一名聯邦士兵的角度，講述著穿越喬治亞洲、釋放奴隸、和再次看到美國國旗的南方聯邦的士兵發動戰爭的故事。
